Isabel holds an MBA from the National University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) degree from Africa University, in addition to several courses in treasury management and leadership. She also holds a Management Development Certificate from the Best Practice in conjunction with the University of Zimbabwe.

She has wide management experience having worked in the financial services sector for 10 years, starting off as a trainee banker at Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe in 2001. Isabel joined FBC Bank in 2003 as a management trainee and was appointed treasury dealer at FBC Building Society in 2005. She was instrumental in the turnaround of FBC Building Society from loss making position to a profitable position. She rose through the ranks to senior dealer until 2010. Isabel joined Alpha Asset Management in 2011 as Fund Manager and she left the organisation having been appointed Managing Director of the aforementioned institution in 2020.
